The executive producer, writer, and director of Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan, has been giving us so many hit series, line by line. Since Yellowstone’s 2018 debut, Sheridan has expanded the universe with two prequels: 1883 and 1923.

Yellowstone is a very popular series. The series is a mix of Western action with family power struggles. In 2018, Taylor Sheridan created the series, and in no time, it became a fan favorite. In this series, you can see the story of the Dutton family, powerful landowners in Montana. The lead character, John Dutton, is played by Kevin Costner. As he was the Ranch owner who was handling the legacy of his ancestors, he could do anything to protect this ranch. He runs Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, the largest cattle ranch in the United States.

The series shows the Dutton’s fighting to protect their land from the outsiders who want to take it from them, and they have evil intentions behind it. At the same time, the family deals with its own battles, including loyalty, betrayal, and ambition, which often clash, and due to this, the series is also promoted as “Succession with cowboys.”

What Is Dutton Ranch About?

The new spinoff Dutton Ranch will continue the story after the Yellowstone finale. Beth and Rip finally have the peace they almost lost their lives fighting for on their 7000-acre ranch. But we all know that peace does not last long in the Dutton world. Life is still not easy, they will face hard times and tough rivals, doing whatever it takes to survive. At the same time, Rip and Beth’s son, whose name is Carter will be the main part of the story just like his grandfather John Dutton in Yellowstone. The couple will have to fight through new challenges while trying to raise Carter into the man they believe he can be. The series will also feature Ed Harris as Everett McKinney, a wise and kind veterinarian.

Who is Behind the Scenes of Dutton Ranch?

Taylor Sheridan will return as an executive producer on Dutton Ranch. The showrunner is Chad Feehan, who also worked with Sheridan on Lawmen: Bass Reeves, a miniseries he created that starred David Oyelowo.

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, who play Beth and Rip, will also be involved off-screen as executive producers. They’ll join a team of Yellowstone producers, including David C. Glasser, Michael Friedman, John Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Art Linson, Bob Yari, Christina Voros, and Keith Cox.

Who is in the Cast of Dutton Ranch?

The whole cast list hasn’t been revealed till today, 10 September, but a few big names are confirmed. Kelly Reilly as Beth and Cole Hauser as Rip. The cast will also feature Oscar-nominated stars Ed Harris and Annette Benning, along with Finn Little returning as Carter.

Benning will play the role of Beulah Jackson and in the new series she will be the leader of a powerful Texas ranch. How her story connects with the Dutton’s is still being kept secret.

Reports also suggest that more familiar faces from Yellowstone could appear in Dutton Ranch, which makes sense since the new show continues directly after the original series.

Tbh, I can’t wait for The Dutton Ranch. Yellowstone has been my comfort series for so many years, and I’ve laughed, cried, and yelled at the screen more times than I can count. Beth’s character has always been my favorite, she is bold and very tough to handle, but you can also see her feminine and adorable side. Watching her and Rip together has been one of the best parts of the series for me. Beth’s character really inspires me, and I really want to be fearless just like her.
